Rose groused over the length of parchment before her.

It was Tuesday, the day she had promised to turn in her Werewolf Essay, but here she was, not even halfway through it, distracted by the skritch of the quill in her brother's hand as he graded some assignment or another. If she had to be honest though, after their conversation over the weekend, the air between them seemed to be... warmer. No reservations. He was her brother Moony again. The thought brought a happy smile to her face, but it fell into a frown as she focused on the parchment before her.

Her book was opened to the chapter and she huffed. "Honestly. Five signs of identifying a werewolf? Are we talking about a medicated werewolf? A feral one? Because the identifying factors are vastly different."

She set the quill she hand in her hand down, running her hands through her hair. Another distracting thought came to mind. Being around Tonks and her short spiky hair made her want to do something crazy to hers. Dye it teal. Cut it short.

Her mother would have a fit.

The mousy brown was just so Lupin she had to agree, though she wondered if she'd look half as good with it streaked silver as her brothers was. No, she knew that wasn't a fashion statement in his case - but silver foxes were all the rage these days, so she wondered if it was something that would work on her too.

Several more minutes passed and she groaned, leaning back in her chair.

"Moonyyyy," she whined. "Hellllp~ it just feels wrong to be writing about this. I'm essentially plotting out my own death it's morbid, and I keep thinking about Elias too!"

She leaned down, placing her chin on the desk and most likely getting ink on it too, as it wouldn't have dried yet, setting puppy dog eyes on her brother. "I've been here for houuuuurs. I might as well have done a detention with you. Can't I have a pass this once? You know I didn't do this essay to insult you. Hell, this essay is insulting you! Me! And Elias. I can't believe he even did it. He's a stronger person than I am."

I wonder if he had me in his thoughts as he wrote this, I'm certainly now spiralling into depression thinking about all the terrible things people could do to us, no matter how sedated we are. Augustine too... she sighed, closing her eyes.
