we are a low word count, any level of experience rp set in harry's 3rd year at hogwarts. students and adults alike are welcome! given we are set fairly early in the series, everything that happens from this point on will be up to us! perhaps sirius black will be cleared and peter arrested, or perhaps something darker lurks in the shadows...
After the whole fiasco with Sirius getting into the castle, well, Remus was there for classes and gave Harry the lessons he promised the boy, but when he would normally be relaxing in his office grading papers or something like that, and have Rose or Dora interrupt him and then him being distracted by either of them… well, he wasn’t there in his office anymore. He had gone to Severus and asked him if he could help him with anything, and while at first Severus seemed amused, he went and handed over some busy work – mostly cleaning out cauldrons and things like that, while on the side he would grade the papers he needed for his own class.
It wasn’t at all demeaning compared to some other things he had done in the past. He’d been a dishwasher and even much worse, so listening to the drawl of Severus as he would essentially insult him, his friends, tease him about being betrayed by Sirius, and of course make remarks that only ones who knew what he was would understand that it was slightly offensive. But he was going to be fine, he could deal with that. In fact, only Severus seemed to treat him like he believed he deserved to be treated. Like a monster. Because that was what he was, and he didn’t mind the treatment. In some ways it made him feel a little bit better to know he wasn’t completely wrong. Being isolated a bit from the cruelty of the world here at Hogwarts made him question but being around Severus told him he was not wrong, and that it was just because they were here at Hogwarts.
So here he was, cleaning cauldrons that were very bad and some that had been left for years it looked like compared to others that was a quick scrub – of course Severus insisted to do it without magic. That made things even more fun… but at least it was better than staying in his office and being afraid he’d run into one of those two girls at some point.
