Vincent Crabbe grew up as an only child in a pureblood wizarding household. His family were far from being wealthy and could be described as poor. Due to Vincent’s upbringing, he has always had a dislike for Muggleborns. His father dabbled in various jobs, including bar work and petty criminal activities, but nothing ever lasted long as he simply didn’t have the work ethic.

Upon his arrival at Hogwarts, it didn’t take long for the sorting hat to place him in the Slytherin house. Anything else would have been a travesty. He quickly made friends with his fellow pureblood Slytherin students, Gregory Goyle and Draco Malfoy. The three formed quite the menacing trio from their first day at school and loved nothing more than to try and get Harry Potter and his irritating accomplices in trouble.

During his time at school, Vincent hasn’t been the best of students but somehow managed to pass his end of year exams.
