we are a low word count, any level of experience rp set in harry's 3rd year at hogwarts. students and adults alike are welcome! given we are set fairly early in the series, everything that happens from this point on will be up to us! perhaps sirius black will be cleared and peter arrested, or perhaps something darker lurks in the shadows...

THIRD PERSON RULE All roleplay must be done in the third person, meaning no 'I', 'me', 'my', 'our'. Of course, you are allowed first person in any boards not strictly for roleplaying purposes, and where you're specifically allowed for first person (ie. Character Plot boards).
QUOTATION MARKS, GRAMMAR & SPELLING These are essential in letting the other player know when your character is talking. It is a must! Quotation marks are "These". It's difficult to want to RP with someone who doesn't bother to use proper grammar.
POSTING Please ATTEMPT to make your posts, at least, a paragraph ( a FULL three to four sentences ), or about 100 words long. Our absolute minimum is 50. No, we won't check every post, and if we see something shorter, no, you won't be in trouble. A longer post just helps create a better storyline and makes it easier for others to respond. It will also gain your more points in lessons. Trying to understand who posts next in a thread including more than two people can be difficult; to make it easiest for everyone, for the person creating the thread to state in OOC the posting order for the thread. Eg. Mal 1st, Zoe 2nd, Kaylee 3rd.
OPEN & CLOSED THREADS We all want to RP and we all want to feel included, however, if you find that a thread is closed to a certain person then please refrain from posting in them. It is annoying and people don't want to have to offend you by asking you to delete your post, or at least PM that person to see if you can join it.
NO GODMODING You are not allowed to control other characters unless you cast the Imperious curse on them, but not everyone is strong enough in magic to perform that spell.
MUGGLE DEVICES No muggle devices, such as ipods, cell phones, ect. are to be used anywhere, even if your character is a muggle. They don't work at Hogwarts or anywhere where a lot of magic is going on.
IN CHARACTER vs OUT OF CHARACTER No in character talking about threads that your character wasn't involved in. If a thread is private, it's just that. Your character wasn't there, wasn't invited, and shouldn't have any idea of what went on in that thread. That includes any other out of character plot knowledge.
