Hermione is the only child of two muggle dentists. Though they considered her a bit odd, Hermione’s parents have always been proud of her and instilled a hard working spirit into her. During muggle school, Hermione excelled and gained top marks, though she had no friends and was considered an outcast. Upon turning 11, she received her letter to Hogwarts and discovered that she was a witch. Hermione began studying magic at home once she purchased her books and showed up to Hogwarts well prepared and knowledgeable of the wizarding world. She met her two best friends, Ron and Harry, on the train to Hogwarts the first time, and once she arrived, she was sort into Gryffindor by her own choice. She had read about the houses, you see, and decided that was where she wished to be.

Little did Hermione know, becoming friends with Harry and Ron would take her on many adventures. In her first year, she avoided being killed (or worse, expelled) by a mountain troll, several tasks to reach the sorcerer's stone, and her own study habits. Her second year brought more adventure and left Hermione petrified (literally) for a little while, but she still managed to get top marks in her classes.
