we are a low word count, any level of experience rp set in harry's 3rd year at hogwarts. students and adults alike are welcome! given we are set fairly early in the series, everything that happens from this point on will be up to us! perhaps sirius black will be cleared and peter arrested, or perhaps something darker lurks in the shadows...
✔ Holly ✔ 11" ✔ Phoenix Feather The feather comes from the same phoenix of which Lord Voldemort's wand has in its core making them brother wands. The wood is considered protective and well suited for someone who must overcome anger and a possibly dangerous quest, which works well for Harry given every year there seems to be a new quest for him.
✘ Gryffindor
Harry's parents were both Gryffindors, but that didn't really play into the choice. Harry had met Draco Malfoy before the sorting and saw him sorted into Slytherin. Along with the fact Hagrid had said Slytherins had a lot of dark wizards come from that house, made him not want Slytherin despite the hat saying it would do him good. So instead, the hat put him in Gryffindor.

✘ patronus - Stag. He cannot yet, but by the end of the year he will be able to cast the corporeal form, well hopefully. The stag is his father's animagus and he always feels like his mother is watching over him with the love bond thing, and his father through this. ✘ boggart - Fear itself. Well, it transforms into a dementor instead of Voldemort, and its a bit confusing but basically he fears to fear things and be powerless to stop it. ✘ mirror of erised - his family. he didn't have a good time with the Dursleys and all he's ever wanted was a family, loving parents and a home he could feel safe at.
✘ Bullies ✘ Prejudice ✘ Fighting ✘ Entitlement ✘ Being Harry Potter

Every witch and wizard alive knows about Harry Potter, at least in England, but around the world as well. After all, there is no one alive who has survived a killing curse except for Harry.
The first year of his life was a dream really. His father got him a small broom to play on, they had a cat, he had family in his parents' friends. What more could he ask for? Of course, then Dumbledore came around and they were forced into hiding because Voldemort was targeting young Harry. However, they placed their trust in the wrong person and they ended up being found. When Voldemort gave his mother the choice to step aside she refused and then he killed her. It was that act of refusing to step aside that saved Harry rebounding the curse and destroying Voldemort. All that seemed to remain was a lightning bolt scar on his forehead.
Harry was sent to live with his Aunt and Uncle, who, while they accepted him into their house, did not treat him very well. He lived in a cupboard under the stairs until he was 11 years old and they were afraid of him going to Hogwarts, so to appease him and maybe get the wizards off their backs, they gave him Dudley's second bedroom for all his presents no longer in use.
Despite their efforts, Hagrid collected Harry and explained to him many things about the wizarding world including his fame, how his parents died, and he was a wizard. When going to find the train, Harry followed a family, a family he would later grow close to in order to understand how to get onto the platform. On the train he met his best friend, Ron, and his other best friend, Hermione, though they weren't friends immediately. It just took a troll attacking Hermione and the two boys going to rescue her to solidify their friendship.
Nosy as always, Harry snooped around a bit too much and got himself and his friends into a lot of danger where they could easily have died. Luckily, they were mostly unharmed, he saved the Philosopher's Stone, and Quirrell had ended up dying in the process. Well, he had Voldemort on the back of his head, Harry didn't feel sorry for him really.
During the summer before his second year, a house elf intercepted his letters from his friends, and then got him in loads of trouble with the Dursleys ending finally with Ron and Fred and George driving a flying car and rescuing him from the Dursleys for the rest of the summer. He ended up staying at the Burrow, the residence of the Weasleys and ended up meeting the others still living there, including Ginny Weasley.
That year was honestly fairly scary for everyone in the school (except maybe purebloods), but especially for Harry considering he was hearing voices all the time that wanted to kill and people were ending up petrified. He also found out he could speak to snakes which Voldemort could do too!
Great. More similarities. Maybe he should have been in Slytherin.
No, the hat was wrong, he would not have done well in Slytherin. And he knew that. After figuring out where the chamber was, as it was very much needing considering Ron's sister was taken into the Chamber of Secrets itself, they took their DADA professor with them, who ended up, well, deleting his own memory. He was a fraud anyways. Harry had to continue alone due to a rock slide and faced Tom Riddle, Voldemort, in the form of a memory commanding the Basilisk, that which was petrifying muggle borns. It was only due to Fawkes, the phoenix which Dumbledore kept in his office, he managed to use the sword of Gryffindor to kill the basilisk and then subsequently get healed from a fang that had nicked him. Destroying the diary, destroying the memory and saving Ginny. Fawkes then helped them out of the Chamber and well, that was the end of the events for the year really. Everything else was fairly normal, and Hermione, who had been petrified before, recovered and their exams were canceled.
Finally the summer of 1993, he blew up his aunt, ran away, almost got mauled by a vicious looking dog, got on a bus, stayed at the Leaky Cauldron until it was time to get on the train! Also, he was warned not to go looking for the convict on the loose, but he didn't know why really other than he was a bad guy.
