A halfblood by birth, it was no surprise to her parents when Brooklyn began showing signs of being a witch. Her father, a broom maker, taught her to fly as soon as she could walk and her mother taught her healing charms and other basic magics as soon as she got a wand. Turns out, Brooklyn was a bit of a charms prodigy. At age 11, she began her Hogwarts journey where her excelled even further at Charms. Of course, her grades were good in most subjects, but no one was even close to touching her scores in Charms classes. She knew from then on that she wanted to study the subject for the rest of her life and make a career out of teaching it to others an focusing on her research.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Brooklyn went on to get her mastery of Charms and travel for a few years. When Prof. Flitwick suggested to Dumbledore that Brooklyn be given a position to help him handle the amount of students Hogwarts had, she accepted without question. This is her first semester teaching at Hogwarts and though she is nervous, she is also ready and willing.
